With success also come criticism and scrutiny. Some have claimed that Hephaestus is a hertek . The proverbial wolf in sheep's clothing. That he consorts with Xeno's to attain the secrets of their technology, or has even exchanged information on occasions. Lack of proof on conspiring with xeno's and ties to the mechanicus's desire to understand and seek out all technology has shielded Tech Magos Hephaestus. In short he is seen as a great asset to many influencial agencies within the Imperium. Some Proclaim that Hephaestus will be a herald to a period of renaissance for the Imperium.


Note: for all who are wondering this is the same Tech-priest that took Acolyte Katrice's eye on Mars, and constructed her gauntlet. To Acolyte Katrice's mirth all Hephaestus desired for payment after constructing her gauntlet was a Penitent engine frame.
